Delete your Preez account

1What happens next

1. We reply from [email protected] to confirm we received your request.
2. We check that the request comes from the account holder. We may ask you to confirm details of your account, or confirm with the organization you belong to. We will never ask for your password.
3. If you belong to an organization, we let it know that your account is being deleted.
4. We delete your data as described below and email you when it is done.

2What we delete

• Your Preez account: phone number, name, password, and profile photo
• Your organization memberships and registered app installations
• Attendance selfies, location data, and leave and correction requests linked to you — unless the organization needs to keep them, as explained next

Uninstalling the app removes what Preez stores on your phone (recent attendance records, captured photos and the installation ID). Uninstalling alone does not delete your account.

3What may be kept

Attendance records are also your employer's business records. An organization may need to keep some of them — for example for wage records, legal obligations or an open dispute. In that case we keep only what is needed, remove what is not, and tell you what was kept and why.

We may also keep a minimal record that a deletion request was made and completed, and information the law requires us to retain. Copies in backups and logs expire on their normal schedule.

4If you own an organization

Deleting an owner's account affects everyone in that organization. Tell us in your email whether you also want to close the organization and delete its data, and we will agree the steps with you first.

5Delete only some data

You can ask us to delete specific data, such as your profile photo, without deleting your account. Choose “Only specific data” and describe it.
